CBD Products FAQ

What is CBD?

CBD or Cannabidiol to give it its full name is a naturally occurring extract derived from the Hemp plant. The Hemp plant is a close-cousin of the much-maligned Marijuana plant and has very low amounts of THC, the `stuff that gives a “high”. CBD and other Cannabinoids have been used for years as a natural remedy around the world for various different reasons.

CBD derived solely from the Hemp plant is legal in the UK so long as is below than 0.2%, an utterly negligible amount.

Why our CBD oil is ‘Full Spectrum’ and what that means?

Simply put, when you hear a CBD product is “Full Spectrum” you know that the whole host of cannabinoids are present. Although CBD in insolation can be beneficial, the “Entourage effect” dictates that consumption of all cannabinoids present within the plant has the optimum effect.

George Botanicals are committed to using the Full Spectrum cannabinoids to ensure added value and assurance to our customers. All of our products are thoroughly tested and kept to the highest standards in the industry.

How and Why are CBD Products tested?

Although the CBD industry is not fully regulated, it is still regulated under General Food Law and under Trading Standards. There are products in the market place that may not be compliant in one or both of these areas. Until such time as a fully regulated and traceable market for hemp and CBD products can be established in the UK,

Phytovista Laboratories with their state-of-the-art custom-built facilities, have the expertise and skills to deliver accurate results, every time. They use fully validated methodology so you can be safe in the knowledge you have the correct result.
As standard, they test for 9 cannabinoids – CBC, CBD, CBDA, CBG, CBGA, CBN, d9-THC, d9-THCA and THCV

How Pure are our Products?

We only sell products that contain only the finest, natural ingredients. Refined, cultured and cultivated to ensure impurities are removed at every step from start to finish. All the goodness you would come to expect from a product that is organic and vegan too!

What methods of extraction are used?

Instead of using toxic methods such as solvents to extract the herbal extracts from the Plant. GB is committed to the industry gold standard, supercritical CO2. A process that uses heat and pressure resulting in an uncontaminated product.

Is CBD Legal?

In the UK, CBD products are legal so long as they contain less than 0.2% of THC. Not all products from the Cannabis plant are illegal and if consumed can be beneficial.

Laboratory reports are provided to show the active ingredients and the constituent amounts.

Is it Safe?

CBD is widely considered to be safe and has been consumed for many years as a homoeopathic remedy. It is not, however, a medicine and should not be considered one and as with any food supplement, advice should be sought from your GP or consultant.

Potential adverse effects and drug interactions

The NHS have prepared a useful Q&A document to highlight any possible adverse effects or interactions with prescribed or other medicines.
As a reputable supplier of CBD, we want to ensure you have the best possible experience with our products and to ensure you are confident with anything you purchase from our website.

How do I take CBD?

GB-CBD-Oil.com offers different products for consumers to choose how they would prefer to take CBD.

There are oils in various strengths that are best administered using the pipette provided to drop the oil under the tongue; one of and if not the fastest ways for the body to absorb the extract.  A CBD balm can be used topically on the skin and then there are also capsules for people that find them easier to manage.

The MCT oil range has been developed as a flavoursome alternative for those that simply do not like the taste. These specific oils are also easily mixed into coffee like a syrup shot that you might add at your favourite coffee shop.

Will CBD show up on a drugs test?

Most drug tests will test for the cannabinoid (THC) that is known to give the “high” with WADA specifically testing for this. However, if George Botanicals products are consumed in very large amounts there could be a chance of a positive test.

We recommend that when faced with the prospect of a test that full disclosure is given, concerning the consumption of CBD products as a food supplement.
